Labial Atrophy, or Vulvovaginal Atrophy (VVA), is a condition wherein the lining of the vagina and the vulva gets drier and thinner from a lack of estrogen. It can happen at any time throughout a woman’s life cycle but is more common during the post-menopausal phase.

Scar Formation occurs when fibrous tissue forms after a wound caused by an injury, disease, or surgery (i.e. childbirth) is healed.
